Free LUTs

A LUT, or “Look-Up Table,” is a file that contains instructions for remapping the color and tone of an image. It acts as a sophisticated filter to apply specific, consistent visual styles, most commonly used in filmmaking but also highly effective for still photography. There is an infographic here that summarizes and also see our LUT Studio here that has many ways of creating LUTs from other types of preset, including XMP, ACV and Gradients.

We are building library of LUTs in the standard 33-cube (.cube) format.

No tricky steps or hoops to jump through—they just work and every LUT is tuned for smooth colors, natural blends, and vibes that really turns heads.

LUTs may be used in photo editing for :

  • Color transformation: A LUT uses a mathematical formula to convert an image’s original color values (hue, saturation, and brightness) into new, desired values.
  • Instant application: By applying a LUT, you can instantly transform the entire color profile of your photo, which is a significant time-saver, especially when editing a batch of images.
  • Consistent aesthetic: For a series of photos that need a uniform look and feel, applying the same LUT can ensure consistency in color, tone, and mood.
  • Creative effects: Creative LUTs are used to give a photo a stylized, film-like aesthetic.

Find the one that matches your vision and dive right in. No complicated setup, just great results.
