Lumatic LAB – Match – This is the first element in our collection of FREE apps designed to help amateur photo-editors add colour grading to their images without having to have expensive hardware or software. MATCH allows you to capture the colour grading of one image (the SOURCE) and apply it to another image (the TARGET). The collection runs on most browsers based on Chromebooks, low-cost laptops / desktops and on the majority of popular operating systems.
Quickstart Guide
Visual Monitoring
- Reference Histogram: Displays the tonal “DNA” of the image you are trying to copy.
- Result Histogram: Displays the live Lumatic Turquoise (#38BDF8) readout of your current image.
- Workspace Toggles: Use the Dark, Gray, or Light buttons to match your editing environment.
1. Loading Assets
- Click or drop your photo into the Target box.
- Click or drop your reference (a movie still or professional photo) into the Source box.
2. Matching the Look
- The app automatically calculates the match upon loading both files.
- Use the Intensity Tuning slider to blend between your original photo and the new look.
3. Saving Your Work
- Download Image: Saves a high-quality JPEG of the current result.
- Bake Match LUT: Generates a professional 33³ .cube file that can be used in other Lumatic apps or professional editors such as Photoshop, ON1, Luminar etc
